We were lost when my sister died of cancer in the Summer of 2017. Beyond the grief and confusion, my brother-in-law, my parents and I were left to think about Joyce's memorial. My sister was very clear about what she wanted and didn't want. But none of us had been to a "celebration of life" and what does the look and feel like?
While my brother-in-law started the planning, I called Pam Dvorak. Pam became a wonderful resource immediately in many ways, big and small. Pam asked a lot of questions, listened and immediately started making an impact - from providing referrals for venues and caterers to offering help in designing and printing the programs.
Pam pulled together hundreds of photos, quotes, videotapes and songs that become the backdrop of my sister's celebration of life. And she found speakers, mics and other equipment for the speeches that became a keystone of my Joyce's memorial.
